Bond Time is designed to help families spend time together without phone distractions. You set a duration, tap Bond Time, and the phone is covered by a full-screen block for that time — while Phone, Messages and Camera stay usable so you never miss a call or a memory. This policy describes how Bond Time handles your information. It is published on the Google Play Store under the developer name ODN & Sons. For our general developer policy covering all our apps, see the ODN & Sons Privacy Policy.
In short: Bond Time collects nothing, sends nothing, and works fully offline. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics or tracking.
What Bond Time Needs From You
Bond Time works entirely on your device and makes no network calls. Here is every permission the app uses and exactly why:
✓ Accessibility Service
What: Permission to use Android's Accessibility service.
Why: This is used for a single purpose — to detect which app is currently in the foreground so Bond Time can display a full-screen block over apps other than Phone, Messages and Camera while a focus session is active.
What it does NOT do: Bond Time does not read the content of your screen, does not log or record your activity, and does not send any information anywhere. No screen content ever leaves your device.
✓ Exact Alarms
What: Permission to schedule an exact alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM).
Why: Used only to end a focus session precisely on time. No data is collected.
✓ Run After Restart
What: Permission to receive the boot-completed signal (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED).
Why: Used only to restore an in-progress focus session if your phone restarts, so a session isn't silently dropped. Used entirely locally.
✓ Notifications (optional)
What: Permission to post notifications.
Why: Used only to show the status of an active focus session on your device. No content or personal data is involved.
✓ No Internet & No Other Permissions
Bond Time makes no network calls at all and does not request or use:
- The "draw over other apps" permission (
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — the block is drawn through the accessibility overlay instead - Accounts or sign-in
- Contacts or call logs
- Location (GPS or network-based)
- SMS content, microphone, or your photos
- Any advertising, analytics, or tracking service
Bond Time only detects the Phone, Messages and Camera apps on your device so it can keep those essentials available during a session — it never reads their contents.
1. Information We Collect
None. Bond Time does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics or tracking.
2. Data Stored On Your Device
The app saves only your chosen lock duration, your saved presets, and the current session's end time, using Android's private app storage on your device. This information never leaves your phone and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
3. Accessibility Service
Bond Time uses Android's Accessibility service for a single purpose — to detect which app is in the foreground so it can display a full-screen block over apps other than Phone, Messages, and Camera while a focus session is active. The app does not read the content of your screen, does not log your activity, and does not send any information anywhere. You are asked to enable this service explicitly, and you can turn it off at any time in your device's Accessibility settings.
4. Permissions
Exact alarms are used only to end a session on time; the boot-completed signal is used only to restore an active session after a restart; notifications (if enabled) show only session status. These are all used locally on your device and involve no data collection.
5. Third Parties
None. We do not share data with anyone because we do not collect any. Bond Time contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks, and no analytics services.
6. Children
The app contains no ads, no data collection, and no external content, and is safe for family use. Because Bond Time collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Bond Time after an update means you accept the revised policy.
